The Wii U is not next-gen is being thrown around/about like dirty money. But what is next-gen? Is it better graphics and the ability to do things more quickly, more efficiently, or is it simply what comes next (after), no matter what it comprises of? Is it both, a good mixture of features that creates something new or newer to the targeted consumer.
You (trolls and haters) can argue (flame) all you want that the Wii U compared to Microsoft and Sony’s next-gen offerings is somewhat sparse, it is, and most rational people will simply say. “Yes it is, but who cares.”
Next generation for Nintendo is to take tentative steps into HD gaming and adopt (try and adopt) the GamePad controller as second screen gaming. Next generation for Microsoft and Sony is to make things prettier, and more faster, build on what they already have. All three consoles are next-gen, with a good mixture of features that creates something new or newer to the targeted consumer.
