An achievement, trophy, badge, award, stamp, medal or challenge. The Xbox is probably (first) credited with being the platform to really bring this brand of gaming to light, quickly followed by PlayStation and onwards to the PC with Steam, so on and so forth. So my question is really simple, does Nintendo need achievements? Mii-achievements as I would call them. Yes it does!
How would they work? And does it follow the trend. Get fifty head shots, and get an achievement, trophy, badge, award, stamp, medal or challenge that calls you a killer! No.
I would work along the lines of this. Firstly they are called Mii-achievements, as in “Mii”, Nintendo’s digital avatars. So your playing a game, Call of Duty: Ghosts for example (that’s if it comes to Wii U) and you do get “Fifty Head Shots”, but instead of getting a badge, stamp, trophy, achievement, that informs you of your recent success, you get a coin. That coin can then be used to acquire, “Mii’s”. Official Mii’s from games created by Activsion, Ubisoft, EA, Nintendo whoever.
This is my idea, I know it’s only rough, but I’m sure people out there could expand on the idea.
Let me know in the comments.
